Bennett Farms
Primary Animals Raised: Pigs, Poultry
Bennett Farms is a family-run pasture-based operation in Edwardsburg, Michigan, founded by Marine veteran Tom Bennett. What began as a way to raise quality food for his own family has grown into a thriving farm serving thousands of customers across the Midwest. Guided by a belief that great food starts with healthy animals and living soil, Bennett Farms focuses on raising livestock outdoors on pasture using transparent, humane, and ecologically sound practices.
Raising Practices
-
Pasture-Raised Chickens: Chickens are raised from day-old chicks and moved to open-air mobile pens on fresh grass. These shelters are rotated daily, giving the birds access to forage, insects, and sunshine while protecting them from predators and producing flavorful, nutrient-dense meat and naturally fertilized soil.
- Pasture-Raised Pigs: Pigs live outdoors year-round and are rotated to new pasture every week or two. They enjoy space to roam and root freely, with a diet of fresh vegetation and locally milled, non-GMO grains. The result is richly marbled, deeply flavorful pork raised without confinement or unnecessary medication.
- Non-GMO Feed & Responsible Care: All animals are fed non-GMO grains and never given growth hormones. Antibiotics are used only when medically necessary and never in animals sold as “antibiotic-free.” Every animal is raised with integrity and handled humanely from start to finish.
- Veteran-Owned & Community-Driven: Tom Bennett brings Marine Corps discipline and integrity to every part of the farm. His commitment to honest farming, animal welfare, and stewardship has built a loyal community that values real food from real farmers.
