General Standards

We believe you deserve to know exactly where your food comes from and how it’s raised. Our standards guide every decision we make, from how animals are treated, to how our farmers care for the land, to how we bring food to your table.
1. Local & Independent
Every cut comes from independent, small farms across the Midwest. By keeping our sourcing close to home, we reduce food miles, strengthen local economies, and give you food you can truly trace.
2. Honest & Transparent Practices
We will always provide the name and location of an item’s source, along with its farming standards. No guessing games, no hidden shortcuts. Just clear information about where your food comes from and how it was raised.

3. Humane Animal Care

Animals are raised with respect, space, and access to fresh air. No crates. No cages. No industrial feedlots. Handling and transport are designed to minimize stress.
4. Whole Animal Commitment
We make full use of every animal - from premium steaks to roasts, ground meat, bones, and specialty cuts. This reduces waste, supports sustainable farming, and honors the animals our farmers raise.
5. Responsible Land Stewardship
Several of our partner farms use regenerative practices like rotational grazing and natural fertilization to protect soil, water, and biodiversity. These methods regenerate the land for future generations.
6. Fair Farmer Partnerships
We return at least 55 cents of every dollar directly to farmers - far above commodity market rates. This ensures their work is valued, their farms remain financially sustainable, and rural communities thrive.
These standards aren’t just words. They are lived out every day by our farmers and reflected in every cut of meat we deliver.
