Primary Animals Raised: Chicken

Chism Chicken Ranch is a pasture-based poultry farm focused on raising chickens in a slower, more natural way. Their birds are raised outdoors on pasture with fresh air, open space, and daily access to new ground, allowing them to forage and roam throughout the day. With an emphasis on thoughtful animal care and responsible land stewardship, the farm prioritizes healthy environments that support both the birds and the land they are raised on. The result is flavorful, tender chicken raised with transparency and care from start to finish.

"In a time when most of our food is highly commercialized in price, yet not in nutritional value, we feel it's extremely important to be able to give our community a local product that will bring back the importance of nutritional value for present and future alike."  - C.C. Ranch

Raising Practices

  • Daily Pasture Rotation: Chickens are moved to fresh pasture daily, providing clean ground, fresh forage, and varied outdoor environments.
  • Pasture-Raised: Birds spend their lives outdoors with space to naturally peck, scratch, forage, and roam.
  • Non-GMO and No Routine Antibiotics: Chickens are raised without GMOs, added hormones, or routine antibiotics, with a focus on proactive animal health and low-stress handling.
  • Stewardship-Focused Farming: The farm uses low-input pasture management practices designed to support long-term soil health and ecological balance.
