Primary Animals Raised: Cattle, Pigs

Dietrich Ranch is a multi‐generational family farm near Mount Morris, Illinois, that’s been stewarding the land since the property was first purchased by great-grandparents Russell & Cora Dietrich in 1947. Today they continue with a focus on regenerative, pasture-based livestock production designed for the benefit of the animals, the soil, and the consumer.

Raising Practices

  • 100% Grass-Finished Beef: Dietrich Ranch is a finishing farm, sourcing young cattle from trusted local farms that share their pasture-based values. The animals spend their final months grazing lush, diverse pastures and receiving steady care as they reach ideal finishing weights. This approach supports small family farms while ensuring quality, transparency, and exceptional beef.
  • Pasture-Raised Pork: Pigs roam open pastures and wooded areas where they can root, forage, and wallow naturally. Their diet is supplemented with locally sourced, non-GMO grains to ensure balanced nutrition. The result is deeply flavorful pork with rich marbling and superior texture.
  • No Hormones or Routine Antibiotics: Animals are raised without added hormones or unnecessary antibiotics. When medical treatment is required, animals are cared for responsibly and withheld from “antibiotic-free” labeling.
  • Regenerative & Transparent: Every grazing rotation, feed choice, and soil practice is designed to restore fertility and carbon in the soil. The Dietrich family welcomes customers to see firsthand how their food is raised with honesty, respect, and care for future generations.
